Acquiring typosquat domains is often the first step for bad actors in their plans to ensnare your unsuspecting prospects and customers and wreaking havoc on your business. To make matters worse, between all the different typosquatting techniques (hyphenations, insertions, character swaps, vowel swaps, etc.) and the plethora of top-level-domains (TLDs), the sheer volume of typosquatting variants can quickly sap your team’s domain acquisition budget and overwhelm your ability to detect, monitor and remediate malicious sites.
To this end, we are announcing our new Defensive Domain Acquisition feature set. Users are presented with the most desirable, yet still available domains as selected by our advanced AI algorithms, which emulate the objective of bad actors (as illustrated in the Figure below). Users can make an informed and risk-based decision to pro-actively purchase these domains right in our UI and we will take care of the rest.
